Ski Rental

Beginners, recreational skiers, racers, powder hounds. We have all the appropriate equipment to rent. To ensure that nothing stands in the way of your enjoyment, we carefully sharpen and wax all skis prior to every rental. If your boots are pinching or your equipment turns out to be less than optimal, then just stop by our shop at the Hochzeiger Base Station and we’ll find something more suitable for you. After all, it’s our goal to set you up with the equipment that allows you to get the most out of your time on the slopes. This winter we’re offering brands such as Atomic, Salomon, Head, Fischer, Rossignol, Völkl, K2, and Blizzard. If you fall in love with your rental skis and simply can’t bear to separate from them, you can purchase them new or used after a 2-day test phase. We’ll deduct the 2-day rental fee from the purchase price.

Cross-country skiing, back country skiing, winter hiking. Is there anything better than making tracks in the snow with red cheeks as you see your breath in the fresh winter air? The Pitztal offers a network of 108.5 kilometers of perfectly prepared cross-country tracks which are publicly accessible at no cost and, due to the high elevation, offer optimal snow conditions. We rent cross-country equipment (skis – classic or skating, boots, poles), as well as backcountry skiing equipment for the countless backcountry tour possibilities on the Hochzeiger, Pitztaler glacier, and the Rifflsee lake. Whoever wants to enjoy the winter landscape at a more leisurely pace can rent snowshoes from us and explore the many winter hiking trails that run in and around the network or cross-country tracks.

In order to experience all that winter has to offer, we rent a variety of winter sports equipment that you are sure to have fun with. This includes our toboggans and snowbikes. Snowbikes guarantee pure enjoyment on the slopes. The combination of biking and skiing is a completely new feeling.

You can enjoy tobogganing and sled riding nearby on the Hochzeiger – either by hiking up yourself or taking the Hochzeiger Lift to the middle station which takes you to the starting point of a six-kilometer-long toboggan trail. From here you can ride down with a ‘great time guarantee’ on our single, double, or racing toboggan/luge (limited availability). Once a week there is even night tobogganing on the well-lit trail.
